OUR VALUES
Thrapston FC was formed in 2025 and brings together Thrapston Venturas, Thrapston Town Ladies and Thrapston Venturas Youth.
At Thrapston FC, we believe football brings people together. We exist to create a space where anyone – regardless of age, background or ability – can play the game, feel included and be part of a team.
FAMILY FIRST
We want to be the first place people turn to when they want to play football. We value fun, belonging and support. When people feel safe and respected, great memories follow.
FOOTBALL FOR ALL
We create an environment that supports players of all generations, genders and backgrounds. Whether it’s juniors starting out, seniors chasing success, or volunteers helping on the sidelines — everyone has a place here.
STRONGER TOGETHER
Our strength comes from community. We work side by side with local people, families, and businesses to build real, lasting connections. No matter your role, you’re part of the Thrapston FC family.
BE THE BEST WE CAN BE
Winning matters — but how we win matters more. We aim to give every player and volunteer the best possible experience. We measure success by growth, by attitude, and by the positive impact we have on others.
Because we don’t just want to run a football club. We want to build something that lasts.

OUR HISTORY
Early post-war football (1950s)
Senior football in Thrapston began in the early 1950s, with a Thrapston side competing in the United Counties League Division Two for two seasons before disbanding.
The Venturas era (1960–1996)
Re-formed in 1960 as Thrapston Venturas by Nigel Webster, the team won five Kettering Amateur League titles in the ’70s before joining the United Counties League in 1978, rising from Division Two to Division One.
Junior Football (1995-present)
Thrapston Town Juniors was created to provide football for boys and girls from Reception to U16, with FA-qualified coaches and Charter Standard status.
Becoming Thrapston Town (1996–2017)
Renamed Thrapston Town FC in 1996, the team twice finished UCL Division One runners-up, earning promotion to the Premier Division in 2011–12, and enjoyed FA Cup and Vase runs before joining the Northamptonshire Combination in 2019.
Women’s Football (2011–present)
Thrapston Town Ladies formed in 2011, winning Northamptonshire Women’s League Division 2 and Division 1 titles, plus County Cups, and remain a proud part of the club.
Three clubs, one town (2017–2022)
In 2017, Thrapston Venturas FC returned as a separate club and for 5 seasons competed alongside Thrapston Town. When the Town men’s side folded in 2022, the Ladies and Juniors kept the Thrapston Town name alive.
United as One (2025)
In 2025, all football in the town came together as Thrapston FC – men’s, women’s, and youth united under one badge, vision, and community spirit, now with nearly 300 players.
