Thrapston Venturas’ first team play in Division 1 of the Northamptonshire Combination League, following promotion as Division 2 champions in the 2021–22 season. The side is managed by Jake Wesby, who has led continued progress, including a third-place finish in 2023–24 and victory in the Northamptonshire FA Lower Junior Cup in 2024.

The team competes at step 7 of the National League System. Under Wesby’s leadership, the squad has remained competitive, with consistent performances across league and cup competitions. Wesby was twice named Manager of the Month in the 2023–24 season.

The first team forms the core of the club’s football activity and continues to push for promotion to the Premier Division.
