Girls Football is Coming to Thrapston
Big news for the town — girls football is on the way to Thrapston FC.
This summer, we’re offering a girls-only introductory session to help local girls take their first steps into the game. Whether they’ve never kicked a ball before or already love having a kickabout in the park, this is a chance to try football in a fun, relaxed setting with no pressure.
The sessions will be led by a mix of female and male coaches from our youth and women’s teams. It’s a supportive environment, full of encouragement, good energy, and a real love for the game.
Who’s it for?
We’re inviting girls from reception age through to under-18s. If you know someone who might be interested — a daughter, sister, friend or neighbour — now’s the time to get involved.
These sessions are open to all abilities. No trials. No teams to join (yet). Just a chance to play, meet other girls, and maybe find something they want to stick with.
How to get involved
To help us plan the session, we’re asking people to register their interest first. You can do that by:
-
Scanning the QR code on our flyer
-
Or emailing thrapstonfc@gmail.com
Once we’ve got a sense of numbers, we’ll confirm the date and send out all the details.
Why it matters
We know girls’ football is growing — and we want Thrapston to be part of that. This session is just the start. Our goal is to build proper opportunities for girls in the town, where they can learn, enjoy and progress in football from a young age.
Thrapston FC is all about local football, for local people, played with your mates. That goes for girls too.
So if someone you know wants to give it a try, now’s the time.
Girls football is coming to Thrapston — and we can’t wait to get started.
